This newly remodeled grand entrance hall has won the NARI BARA 2024 “Bay Area Remodeling Award” for category Residential Interior under $100,000.
The heart of this grand hall project was to create and build an interpretation of a luxury historical place in history that the client loved while visiting the “Hall of Mirrors” in Versailles, France. Inspiration behind this design was to transport my client’s daily life to a time in history to recreate their personal experience.
Classic French inspired architecture and embellishments would be very carefully designed to compose into a much smaller space factor. Selections of essential elaborate materials like its walls of artesian hand-applied glaze and silver foil, gilded mirrors, velvet striped wallpaper, custom ornate crown and crystal lighting would be my road to success. Transforming their existing “all-white” hallway into another time in history with its distinct classic design would no longer be “just a hallway.”
