1.Peach and Apricot: Pantone declared Peach Fuzz its color of the year for 2024. Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute describes it as “a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance.”

2. Metal: Essential elements for interior home decor trends in 2024: chrome, steel, and aluminum are everywhere. Think about applications such as furniture legs, hardware, lighting fixtures and accessories.

3. Jewel tones: Saturated hues of precious gem tones are hitting our 2024 design trends. Designers are getting more requests for the bolder colors. Warm neutrals are on the move still from cool grays and stark whites to warmer beiges and creamy whites. Comfort colors of taupe and mushroom have become very popular, and easy to work with.

4. Herringbone: A hot go-to herringbone design is a classic element being used in the remodel home industry for both bath and kitchens. Look for it in backsplashes and floor designs.

5. Woven textures: No better way to add in contrast and visual interest to any space than by use of layering wool rugs, woven grass cloth wallpaper or refabricating of dining room chairs with textured vibrant fabrics. Creates a finished home that feels tied together and adds more cozy warmth to the space.

6. Energy efficiency: We are seeing more and more clients being interested in sustainable upgrades for their home. Some upgrades include adding solar, battery backups, car-charging equipment, heat pumps, natural ventilation, air filtering and window coverings.

Hunter Douglas Duette Cellular shades keep your home warm when its cold out and cool when its hot. This is because the cellular design helps to insulate the window and keep the temperature inside the house where you want it.

Might be a smart time to incorporate energy-efficient elements into your home. That’s because the Inflation Reduction Act allows for up to $14,000 in tax rebates and credits to homeowners for adding items like solar panels, energy-efficient electric appliances and insulation.

7. Kitchen upgrades: Our clients are choosing to add upgrades to their kitchen to make them more organized and convenient. Adding features like appliance garages, pull-out spice racks, knife drawers, lazy Susan’s and prep sinks all help keep the kitchen clean and tidy.

8. Kitchen Islands: Islands are considered the hub of the kitchen. The design and functionality of islands are very important to homeowners as that is where most prep is done and where people gather. A lot of clients have been opting for statement islands that create a focal point in the space. By using a dramatic paint color, busy countertop veining, or a waterfall edge, all add visual interest to the kitchen. Having an island with maximum seating and maybe even a beverage fridge will allow guests to grab a drink without getting in the way of the cook.

9. Spa-like bathrooms: A spa-like bathroom is the goal of many homeowners. Using lavish materials to create a visual appealing design and add functionality is key. Things like bold focal-point tile walls, raised wet-room floors for tub and shower, multiple shower heads, steam options, curbless designs and heated benches and floors throughout the whole bathroom or separated sections. We will continue to see these items in spaces because of their lavish and relaxing qualities.

10. Bathroom vanities: For years white vanities were the preferred choice amongst homeowners. However, now people are wanting a wood look vanity or something with color to bring character into the space. We have also seen a lot of clients choose to add makeup vanities into their bathrooms. They include features like specialized storage, unique lighting, drawer outlets and cabinet towers for added storage. Who wouldn’t want a special area to get ready in the morning and have everything organized at the same time!
